Universal Truth?

It's so easy to blame other people or situations how you feel internally. However, is that really true? Can other outside things (whatever it might be) make you feel miserable? Yes, it can. But the question is can we do something against that?

Being in contact with more of the spiritual community in the past months and reflecting about this makes me wonder and actually disagree. It is our choice, our perspective that we take when judging external happenings. Thus, losing my job can make me feel miserable because I associate failure with it and insecurity, whereas many wantrepreneurs would be happy to finally let loose of the chains of a job.

Things outside cannot determine how I feel internally.
